What else is there to drink when you are doing a stakeout in a film noir? (OK, maybe a drop of whisky would fit the bill as well).
Anyway; this image was made in an Amsterdam hotel room, during the time I was directing the feature film 'Miss Moxy'. I spent a lot of time abroad and always brought a lamp and some paper.
When all other objects failed to give me interesting shadows, I turned to the complimentary coffee pads and look: this gumshoe appeared.
You know I love films noir, so it was a real pleasure drawing this.
Instead of buying an over-expensive coffee from some pretentious Barista downtown: support your local shadowologist!
